Omarion Owens was taken into custody after officers from TAPD and TTPD spotted him at a busy hookah lounge Monday night. After receiving several tips, police converged on the business, and Owens tried to run. He led officers on a two-block foot chase before being arrested without incident.
Owens was booked into the Miller County Jail on multiple felony warrants from both agencies.
He faces charges including two counts of aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury, two aggravated robberies—one involving gunfire—and felony warrants in Arkansas for theft of a firearm and possession of a firearm by a felon.
Owens is also accused in a March shooting where over 60 rounds were fired into a home, critically injuring a 10-year-old girl as she slept. She is now home recovering.
