The Texarkana Municipal Auditorium inside City Hall is getting a new push for restoration. Volunteer Francene Miller says the 100-year-old venue, once home to legends like Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, and Louis Armstrong, has sat unused for years and needs major repairs.
A special benefit concert featuring Todd Herendeen is set for October 15, with proceeds going toward the multi-million-dollar renovation project. Miller says while some improvements have been made, there’s still a long way to go to bring the auditorium back to its former glory.
Tickets for the concert are available through Texarkana, Arkansas City Hall.
